The growing boom in AI promises tangible benefit to society from efficiency, healthcare to creative. However the price to be paid is a steep power demand and a carbon footprint that needs addressing. Valid projects which either capture or benefit via carbon avoidance are able to sell the credits for incremental revenue. This article highlights Microsoft taking a 5 year off-take with a US based Biochar company.
